The Daniel Defense RIS III 13″ FDE is a premium free-float handguard designed for serious AR rifle builders. Furthermore, this component isolates your barrel from contact, eliminating harmonic disturbances that reduce accuracy. Therefore, the RIS III delivers exceptional performance for competitive shooters and precision hunters alike.
Additionally, the 13-inch length provides excellent hand positioning without adding excessive weight to your platform. The Flat Dark Earth finish matches modern tactical aesthetics while resisting corrosion. Moreover, M-LOK slots run along multiple surfaces, giving you unlimited strategic attachment points.
Free-Float Design for Superior Accuracy
First, free-float means your barrel never touches the handguard itself. Furthermore, this isolation prevents vibration interference that compromises shot placement. Indeed, many precision shooters report dramatic accuracy improvements after upgrading to free-float systems like the RIS III.
The precision engineering ensures a secure, repeatable fit every time. Therefore, you’ll maintain consistent accuracy across multiple shooting sessions. Additionally, the handguard maintains its performance through thousands of rounds of sporting and recreational use.
M-LOK Mounting System
The RIS III supports an industry-standard M-LOK interface for accessory mounting. Moreover, you can attach lights, lasers, grips, sling mounts, and optic adapters seamlessly. Additionally, thousands of third-party accessories are compatible, allowing you to customize your rifle exactly to your needs.
Compatibility and Installation
This assembly fits most AR rifles equipped with a front sight post and standard barrel nut interface. However, proper installation requires removing your existing handguard and gas tube system. Therefore, basic gunsmithing knowledge or professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and accuracy.
Finally, Daniel Defense’s reputation stems from uncompromising quality standards. Each RIS III handguard undergoes rigorous testing before reaching your hands. As a result, you invest in long-term reliability and performance for serious shooting applications.
