Product Description
The Troy Q.D. 360 Rail Mount – Push Button Assembly is a Picatinny rail attachment point designed to accept quick-detach sling swivels with 360-degree rotation capability. Troy Industries built this mount with a push-button mechanism that allows tool-free installation and removal of QD sling hardware.
This mount installs on any Picatinny or MIL-STD-1913 rail section. It provides a rotating attachment point for push-button quick-detach sling swivels, letting you adjust sling position without detaching the swivel. The low-profile design sits close to the rail and minimizes snag points.
Shooters add QD rail mounts to handguards and other rail sections to create sling attachment points exactly where they need them. The 360-degree rotation means your sling can move freely as you shift positions, reducing bind and twist.
Key Facts
- Brand: Troy Industries
- Product name: Troy Q.D. 360 Rail Mount – Push Button Assembly
- SKU: TY-SMOU-PBS-00BT-00
- Function: Picatinny rail mount for QD sling swivels with 360-degree rotation
How the Push Button QD Mount Works
Quick-detach sling systems use a spring-loaded ball-bearing mechanism inside the swivel. When you press the button on your QD swivel, the bearings retract and the swivel releases from the mount. This mount provides the socket that accepts that swivel.
The 360-degree rotation means the mount itself spins freely once the swivel is installed. As you move or transition between shooting positions, the sling can rotate without creating tension or twist. Fixed mounts force the swivel to absorb all that rotation, which can wear hardware faster and create uncomfortable pressure points on the sling.
Because this is a rail-mounted design, you can position it anywhere you have Picatinny rail space. Many shooters place one at the front of the handguard and another near the receiver or on a rail section at the rear of the upper receiver.
What to Know Before Installing
This mount requires a Picatinny or MIL-STD-1913 rail section. Measure your available rail space to confirm you have room for the mount without blocking optics, lights, or other accessories. The push-button assembly installs with a rail clamp that you tighten down.
If your rifle uses M-LOK or KeyMod attachment systems rather than Picatinny rail, you will need an adapter section of rail first, or you can choose a direct-attach QD mount designed for those mounting systems. Call 817-393-4000 if you need help determining compatibility with your specific handguard or rail configuration.
QD swivels are sold separately. This mount is the socket only. You will need a push-button QD swivel on your sling to complete the system. Most tactical slings either ship with QD swivels or offer them as an option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will the Troy Q.D. 360 Rail Mount fit my Picatinny rail handguard?
A: Yes, this mount is designed to attach to any Picatinny or MIL-STD-1913 rail section. Confirm you have enough clear rail space for the mount without interfering with your other accessories.
Q: Does the push button on this mount release the sling swivel?
A: No, the push button is on your QD sling swivel, not the mount itself. This mount provides the socket that your push-button QD swivel clips into. The swivel’s button releases it from the mount.
Q: Can I use this Troy rail mount with M-LOK handguards?
A: Not directly. This mount requires Picatinny rail. If your handguard uses M-LOK, you need to add a short Picatinny rail section to the M-LOK slots first, then attach this mount to that rail section.
Q: What does 360-degree rotation mean on a QD mount?
A: The mount rotates freely once your QD swivel is installed, allowing your sling to spin a full circle without binding or creating tension. This reduces sling twist and wear as you move or change positions.
Q: Will this mount work with single-point and two-point slings?
A: Yes, as long as your sling uses a push-button quick-detach swivel. The mount is simply an attachment point; your sling configuration determines whether you run single-point, two-point, or another setup.
Q: How do I order the Troy Q.D. 360 Rail Mount from Western Sport?
A: Call us at 817-393-4000 to place an order or visit our Roanoke location in North Texas. We can answer compatibility questions and handle gunsmithing if you need installation assistance.
