Western Sport is a licensed FFL and Class III SOT, so every suppressor on this page is sold by us directly. Since October 9, 2026, buying one takes a Form 4473 and a background check, nothing more.

Buying a suppressor at a glance

  • No Form 4: since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration for suppressors. They transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a NICS background check.
  • No wait: once your background check clears, it is yours.
  • No NFA paperwork fees from us.
  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Pick up from us or use an SOT dealer near you.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides: some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
  • Every step, in order: how buying a suppressor works at Western Sport.

Choosing the right suppressor

Start with what it goes on. Caliber, thread pitch and whether the can will live on one gun or move between several decide most of the choice, and weight versus sound level decides the rest. Titanium saves weight, stainless takes more abuse, and a quick-detach mount makes sense if you will swap hosts. Our guides go deeper: the best .22 LR suppressors, the best suppressor for an MK18, and the muzzle thread pitch lookup.

Buying guns online in Texas

Looking for more than a suppressor? We sell firearms online and ship them to any FFL near you. Texas has no state permit and no state waiting period. See how to buy a gun online in Texas, or send us a message with any question before you order.
