Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50, Thermal Optic Kit, Black
$4,899.99
- What it is: A clip on thermal imager mounts on the rail in front of the day scope you already own, so the scope keeps doing the aiming and the attachment supplies the thermal picture.
- The reason people buy one: You keep your zero and you keep your own reticle. Nothing is removed, nothing is re-zeroed, and there is no second optic with its own controls to learn in the dark.
- What it needs: Rail space ahead of the scope, and a day scope you are willing to leave at a fixed magnification while the attachment is fitted.
- Sensors here: 256×192 up to 640×512, so the same resolution-and-NETD logic as any other thermal applies.
- FFL status: A clip-on thermal is an optic, not a firearm and not an NFA item — no FFL transfer, no Form 4. Order online and it ships to your door.
What we carry
ATN TICO 6 front attachments in 256×192, 384×288 and 640×512; the Nocpix MATE Ultra S60R; the Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50 kit; and the Sig Sauer ECHO CV25 clip-on sight.
Clip-on, or a dedicated thermal scope?
A clip-on makes sense when you already have a day scope you trust and you want one rifle to do both jobs — and when the rifle is used in daylight most of the time. A dedicated thermal scope makes more sense when the rifle is a night gun first: you get a purpose-built reticle, onboard recording and usually more sensor for the money, because you are not paying for the ability to come back off the rail. If you only want to find animals rather than shoot them, a handheld thermal monocular is the cheaper answer.
A note on magnification
With a clip-on fitted, your total magnification is the day scope’s setting — the attachment itself is 1x. Most people run the day scope at a low, fixed power with the attachment on, because digital thermal detail does not survive being magnified much by glass sitting behind it.
Ordering
These ship to your door, not to an FFL. Send us a message with your scope and rail setup if you want to check clearance first, and Credova financing is available at checkout.
