Product Description

Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

The Dead Air Armament Blast Shroud suppressor, part number DA463XN, is a suppressor from Dead Air Armament. The part number and the UPC, 810128161817, let you match this exact item against the manufacturer’s own paperwork and spec sheet.

The name points to a blast shroud design. We are not listing a caliber rating, length, weight, mount or materials on this page. Pull those from the manufacturer’s spec sheet before you order. Make sure they fit the firearm you plan to run it on.

Who it suits

This suppressor suits shooters who already know the Dead Air Armament name and want this model by part number. It also suits anyone building a suppressed setup who wants to buy from a dealer that handles NFA transfers. Western Sport is a licensed FFL/SOT dealer and sells online nationwide.

Gear that pairs with a suppressor is mostly about the host firearm. You need a barrel with a compatible muzzle device or direct-thread setup, and a mount that matches the suppressor. Hearing protection is still smart even with a suppressor on the end of the barrel. A cleaning kit and a safe place to store the can round out the basics.

Suppressors are regulated under the National Firearms Act. The transfer runs through a licensed dealer and needs federal approval before you take possession.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
