Product Description
This is a federally regulated suppressor (silencer) under the National Firearms Act. Purchase requires a BATFE Form 4 transfer, background check, and $200 NFA tax stamp — now $0 under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). Buyer must be 21+, a US citizen, reside in an NFA-legal state, and have no disqualifying criminal history. Allow about two weeks or less for ATF approval. Western Sport handles all paperwork — call 817-393-4000.
The Sig SLXC is the compact version of Sig’s SLX 762 suppressor — shorter overall length, same Inconel construction and NGSW-derived baffling, Clutch-LOK QD mount included. The SLXC is designed for 7.62 NATO hosts where compactness is a priority: SBRs, short-barrel precision rifles, and any platform where a full-size 762 suppressor adds more length than desired. Inconel construction gives the SLXC excellent corrosion resistance and thermal performance under sustained semi-automatic fire — the material choice that Sig’s NGSW engineering pushed beyond stainless steel and titanium for this specific application.

Sig SLX Suppressor Technology: Born from the NGSW Program
The SLX and SLH suppressor series are a direct byproduct of Sig’s work on the Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon program — the same program that produced the MCX Spear and its 6.8x51mm cartridge. The NGSW required suppressors that could handle extreme pressures and cyclic rates while reducing thermal signature, flash, and toxic gas blowback to the shooter. Sig’s Clutch-LOK QD mounting system, Inconel construction, and baffle geometry were all refined under that program before being made available commercially. When you buy a Sig SLX or SLH suppressor, you’re buying a product tested to military program standards.

FAQ — Sig SLXC 762 QD Compact
SLXC vs. SLHC — what’s the difference?
Both are compact 7.62 QD suppressors with Clutch-LOK mounts. SLXC uses Inconel construction optimized for flash reduction and low-tox performance with supersonic ammunition. SLHC uses titanium construction optimized for maximum sound reduction including subsonic loads. Use SLXC for 7.62 NATO supersonic work; use SLHC for .300 BLK subsonic or applications where absolute quiet is the priority.
What is Clutch-LOK QD?
Sig’s proprietary quick-detach system uses a tapered engagement surface that tightens the mount connection as the suppressor is rotated — similar in concept to Q’s Cherry Bomb system. The mount locks securely, doesn’t loosen under sustained fire, and releases with a half-turn. The mount included in the box attaches to compatible Sig QD flash hiders (5/8×24 or 1/2×28).
Recent eForm 4 approvals have been coming back in about two weeks or less — see our NFA wait times guide for current figures.
