The Christensen Arms Evoke 6.5 CM in Bronze delivers precision hunting firepower in a rifle that weighs just 6.3 lbs—light enough to carry all day, rigid enough to shoot groups that matter. Built around the world’s most popular hunting precision cartridge and Christensen’s legendary carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology, the Evoke combines entry-level pricing with the accuracy and durability hunters demand.

About Christensen Arms

Since 1995, Christensen Arms has manufactured precision rifles in Gunnison, Utah, pioneering production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology that has become the industry standard. Each Christensen barrel features a match-grade stainless steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber—a process that cuts weight dramatically while maintaining the rigidity and thermal stability required for sub-MOA accuracy. The result is a family of rifles that weigh 40–50% less than traditional steel-barreled alternatives without sacrificing ballistic performance or durability.

Key Specifications

The Evoke Platform

The Evoke is Christensen’s entry into centerfire bolt-action hunting rifles—purpose-built for hunters and shooters who demand precision without the premium price tag of the Ridgeline or Mesa. The 6.5 Creedmoor is the modern standard for long-range hunting: inherently accurate, forgiving of amateur handloads, and ballistically superior to .308 Winchester at distance while remaining practical for deer, elk, and precision target work to 800+ yards. At 6.3 lbs with a 20-inch barrel, the Evoke strikes the balance hunters seek—compact and packable, yet accurate and potent.

The bronze composite stock and matching finish create a cohesive, modern aesthetic while providing durability in the field. The Rem 700 pattern action is a proven platform that accepts a vast aftermarket ecosystem of triggers, magazines, and components. The threaded barrel makes suppressor integration straightforward for hunters seeking reduced recoil and hearing protection. Whether you’re glassing ridges for mule deer, setting up for precision target work, or preparing for long-range hunting seasons, the Evoke delivers the accuracy, weight, and reliability Christensen is known for at an accessible price point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why 6.5 Creedmoor for hunting?

A: The 6.5 Creedmoor is the world’s most popular hunting precision cartridge. It offers superior ballistics to .308 Winchester at distance, inherent accuracy, a forgiving recoil impulse, and practical range to 800+ yards for deer and elk. Factory ammunition is widely available and reasonably priced.

Q: What makes Christensen carbon fiber barrels special?

A: Christensen pioneered production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology. Each barrel features a match-grade stainless steel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, reducing weight by 40–50% compared to steel barrels while maintaining rigidity, thermal stability, and sub-MOA accuracy. The result: precision rifles weighing 5–7 lbs instead of 8–10+ lbs.

Q: How light is 6.3 lbs for a centerfire rifle?

A: At 6.3 lbs, the Evoke is exceptionally light for a centerfire hunting rifle. Most traditional steel-barreled bolt-actions weigh 8–10 lbs or more. This weight savings reduces fatigue during long hunts, makes glassing and positioning easier, and allows hunters to carry the rifle all day without burden—a major advantage in backcountry or mountain hunting.

Q: Is the Evoke suppressor-ready?

A: Yes. The Evoke’s 20-inch barrel is threaded, allowing direct attachment of a suppressor. This provides hearing protection, reduces recoil, and minimizes muzzle blast in the field. The barrel length and Rem 700 pattern action are compatible with most modern hunting suppressors.
