The Christensen Arms Evoke Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor delivers precision, lightweight performance, and proven reliability for serious hunters seeking accuracy in a compact, field-ready package.
The Christensen Arms Evoke Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor delivers precision hunting performance in a featherweight package—sub-6.5 lbs with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel, hunter green composite stock, and the most popular precision cartridge in modern hunting. Built on a proven Remington 700 pattern action with a 20″ threaded barrel, this rifle combines accessibility with the engineering excellence Christensen Arms is known for. Whether you’re glassing high country or setting up for a precision shot, the Evoke Hunter’s lightweight design and proven caliber make it an ideal entry point into carbon fiber precision hunting rifles.
About Christensen Arms
Founded in 1995 in Gunnison, Utah, Christensen Arms pioneered production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology and has been manufacturing precision rifles in the USA ever since. Their stainless steel barrel cores are wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, dramatically reducing weight while maintaining rigidity, accuracy, and long-term durability. The result: hunters and precision shooters gain a rifle that weighs 1–2 lbs less than comparable steel-barrel competitors without sacrificing ballistics or reliability.
The Evoke Hunter represents Christensen Arms’ entry into centerfire bolt-action hunting rifles—engineered for hunters who demand precision without excess weight. At 6.3 lbs, this rifle is built for all-day pack hunts in steep terrain, tree stands, and long-range glassing where every ounce matters. The 20″ carbon fiber barrel delivers the ballistic performance of a full-length hunting rifle while maintaining the handling characteristics of a carbine, and the threaded muzzle accepts modern suppressors or brakes for your specific shooting preference.
Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor—the most popular precision hunting cartridge in North America—the Evoke Hunter bridges the gap between entry-level hunting rifles and premium precision platforms. The 6.5 CM delivers exceptional wind-bucking capability, moderate recoil, and proven effectiveness on game from varmints to elk at distance. The Remington 700 pattern action is widely supported by aftermarket options (triggers, chassis, mounts), and the AICS-compatible magazine system offers flexibility. The hunter green composite stock complements the stainless steel barrel while resisting weather and field wear.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is 6.5 Creedmoor the best choice for the Evoke Hunter?
A: 6.5 Creedmoor is the most popular precision hunting cartridge in North America. It offers superior wind-bucking performance, moderate recoil, excellent velocity retention, and proven effectiveness on game from varmints to elk at extended range. The cartridge is widely available, ammo is reasonably priced, and the ballistics are ideal for hunters who want precision and power in one platform.
Q: How does the carbon fiber barrel reduce weight without sacrificing accuracy?
A: Christensen Arms’ carbon fiber-wrapped barrels feature a match-grade stainless steel core surrounded by aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The carbon fiber layer maintains barrel rigidity (critical for accuracy), prevents thermal expansion, and adds minimal weight. This design yields a barrel that is 1–2 lbs lighter than an equivalent steel barrel while maintaining superior shot-to-shot consistency and durability.
Q: Is the Evoke Hunter suitable for long-range hunting?
A: Yes. The Evoke Hunter’s 6.5 Creedmoor and 20″ carbon fiber barrel deliver excellent long-range performance. The cartridge retains velocity and energy well beyond 500 yards, and the Remington 700 pattern action is inherently accurate. The threaded muzzle allows for suppressor or muzzle brake installation to manage recoil and signature. Hunters frequently use this platform for 300–600+ yard shots on open terrain.
Q: Can I use a suppressor on the Evoke Hunter?
A: Yes. The Evoke Hunter features a 1/2″-28 threaded muzzle, which is the standard suppressor thread pitch for 6.5 Creedmoor rifles. A suppressor will add weight and length, but will reduce recoil and muzzle report. With a quality 30-caliber suppressor, the rifle remains under 8 lbs total and is ideal for hunting in areas where noise reduction is beneficial.
