The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 Rifle in Mil-Spec+, part number 02-158-15060-067, is a semi-automatic 7.62 NATO rifle with an 18″ barrel on the DD5 platform, supplied without a magazine.
Where no cap applies, the standard Mil-Spec+ DD5 V4 is the same rifle and the easier order. Daniel Defense cold hammer forges DD5 barrels from its own proprietary steel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Mil-Spec+ on a DD5 V4?
A: Mil-Spec+ is a Daniel Defense finish option rather than a mechanical change to the rifle. The 7.62 NATO chambering, the 18″ barrel and the DD5 platform underneath are the same as the standard-finish V4 of the same barrel length.
Q: Why is no magazine supplied?
A: Magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities, so Daniel Defense builds this part number without one. That allows the rifle to be shipped in, and the dealer completing the transfer supplies a magazine at a capacity the destination allows.
Q: Can you confirm the twist rate and thread pitch?
Daniel Defense builds the DD5 in several closely related configurations, so we would rather check than publish a figure from the wrong one.
Q: Is 7.62 NATO the same as .308 Winchester here?
A: They are closely related but not identical, and chamber and pressure differences matter. This rifle is designated 7.62 NATO. If you intend to shoot commercial .308 ammunition through it, send us a message and we will confirm what Daniel Defense specifies for this part number.
Q: Will I need to buy a magazine as well?
A: Yes, since none comes with this SKU.
Q: How is the rifle transferred to me?
A: Through a licensed FFL, as with any rifle. Western Sport is a licensed FFL/SOT dealer, so you can collect from us after the background check, or we can ship to a dealer nearer you.
