The Holosun Technologies AEMS Macro is a 1x enclosed red dot sight for pistols, built around a green 2 MOA dot. The green reticle is easy for the eye to pick up in bright light, and the enclosed housing keeps the emitter and lens area protected.
The reticle is a multi-reticle system. You get the 2 MOA dot plus a 32 MOA circle, so you can run the dot alone or use the circle to find the sight quickly. The viewing window measures 0.9 x 0.9 inch, which gives a generous view downrange.
Features that matter on a carry or range pistol
Brightness adjusts automatically, with a solar failsafe as backup. Shake Awake wakes the sight when it senses motion, and it keeps your settings in memory. A lockout mode helps prevent accidental button presses. The CR1632 battery loads from a side tray, so it can be swapped without a full teardown of the mount. The housing is 7075-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish.
This sight fits 509T plates, so it suits pistols and slides cut for that footprint. It fits shooters moving to a red dot on a duty-style, range, or home-defense handgun. Pair it with a holster made for optic-equipped pistols and with a plate that matches your slide cut.
