Browning A5 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun, 28″ Barrel

Product Description

The Browning A5 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun is a camo field gun with a 28″ barrel and a 3.5″ chamber. It is a right-handed model with a Mossy Oak Bottomland synthetic stock and matching finish, so it is built for hunting in wet woods and flooded cover.

The 28″ barrel gives a fairly long sight radius for a semi-auto. Overall length is 49.63″ and weight is 7.5 lbs. Length of pull is 14.25″. Capacity is 4 rounds. Chokes are listed as F, m and ic, which covers full, modified and improved cylinder patterns for different ranges.

Sights and handling

The front sight is a HiViz Pro Comp. The rear is an ivory mid bead. That combination is easy to pick up against dark timber and low light, which matters when a bird gets up fast. The 3.5″ chamber means the gun is set up for the longest 12 gauge magnum shells when the load calls for it.

This shotgun suits hunters who want a self-loading 12 gauge in a camo pattern made for bottomland. It also suits anyone who wants a longer barrel on a field gun. Good accessories to pair with it include a padded shotgun case, a sling, a shell carrier or hunting vest, a choke tube wrench, and hearing and eye protection. If you hunt from a blind or boat, a camo face covering and a good set of waders round out the setup.
