Smith & Wesson 1854 Stealth Hunter .45 Colt Rifle, 16.3″ Barrel

Product Description

The Smith & Wesson 1854 Stealth Hunter is a lever-action rifle chambered in .45 Colt, with a 16.3″ barrel and 8+1 round capacity. This version is the Miami Tiger Stripe model, so it looks different from a plain lever gun the moment you pick it up.

A lever action is simple to run. You work the lever, the next round feeds, and you stay on target. The 8+1 capacity gives you a full magazine plus one in the chamber. The 16.3″ barrel keeps the rifle short, which many hunters like when moving through brush or climbing into a stand.

Who it suits

This rifle fits hunters who want a .45 Colt lever gun for woods and field use. It also suits range shooters who enjoy the feel of a lever action. If you already shoot .45 Colt in a revolver, the rifle uses the same cartridge, so you can stock one type of ammunition for both. Check your state’s rules on hunting with handgun-caliber rifles before you head out.

Good gear to pair with it includes a rifle sling, a padded case for transport, and a cleaning kit sized for .45 caliber. Pick up plenty of .45 Colt ammunition for practice, and bring eye and ear protection for every range trip.
