Mossberg Patriot .243 Win Bolt-Action Rifle, 22″ Barrel

Product Description

The Mossberg Patriot .243 Win bolt-action rifle has a 22″ barrel and holds 5+1 rounds. It is a plain working rifle for the field or the range, finished in matte blue.

What sets this Patriot apart

This version has a fluted barrel and an OD green synthetic stock. The matte blue finish keeps the metal dull and low-profile. Capacity is five in the magazine and one in the chamber, which is plenty for a day of hunting or a session at the bench.

The .243 Win is a familiar chambering for deer-sized game and for varmints, and ammunition for it is easy to find in many loads. A 22″ barrel gives you a rifle that handles well in a blind, on a truck seat or walking a fence line. The bolt action keeps the rifle simple to run and simple to clean.

Most owners will want an optic, so plan on a scope along with rings and bases. Check that the mounts you choose are made to fit this rifle before you order. A sling makes carrying easier, and a bipod or shooting rest helps at longer distances. A padded case protects it in the truck, and a few boxes of .243 Win ammunition will get you started on load development and sight-in.
