Product Description

Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

The Dead Air Armament Pyro 2.0 is a P-Series suppressor in this DA466B configuration, set up with an SD500 booster and a .45 cal front cap. The finish is black. Dead Air Armament makes it, and Western Sport sells it as a licensed FFL/SOT dealer.

What sets this version apart is the setup. It pairs the Pyro 2.0 with the SD500 booster and the .45 cal front cap, so the configuration is already defined by the part number. If you are matching a suppressor to a specific host firearm, DA466B is the number to look for.

Who it suits

This suppressor suits a shooter who already knows the host firearm they plan to run it on and wants a Dead Air model in black. It also suits someone building out a suppressor setup who values a clear, named configuration over a generic one.

Plan the rest of the setup before you order. You will need a host firearm with a muzzle device or mount that fits the suppressor, and you should confirm that fit yourself. A suppressor-ready barrel, a compatible mount, and a good set of hearing protection round out the kit. Because a suppressor is an NFA item, it moves through a licensed dealer with approved ATF paperwork before it goes home with you.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
