Thompson/center Encore Pro Hunter Barrels, 8231R

Product Description

The Thompson/center Encore Pro Hunter barrel, part number 8231R, is a barrel chambered in 308. It is a part, not a complete firearm. You need an Encore frame to use it.

The main point of this barrel is the chambering. If you already shoot an Encore in another caliber, a 308 barrel lets you change cartridges without buying a whole new gun. The Pro Hunter name tells you which line of Encore barrels it belongs to. Check your own frame and your plans before you order, so you know it matches what you want to shoot.

Who it suits

This barrel suits hunters who already own an Encore and want a 308 setup. It also suits anyone building out an Encore with more than one barrel. Because the 308 is a common cartridge, finding ammunition for it is usually simple.

Gear that pairs well with it includes a scope and matching mounts, a sling, a hard or soft case, and a cleaning kit sized for the bore. Pick a good lot of 308 ammunition and spend range time with it before hunting season. That way you know where the rifle shoots and can set your optic with confidence.
