Cobratec Knives OTF Utility Knife Side Automatic Double Action OTF

Product Description

The Cobratec Knives OTF Utility Knife Side is an automatic, double action out-the-front knife with a 1 inch black utility blade. The blade fires straight out of the handle and returns into it, so there is no blade swinging open on a pivot. A side button runs the action.

This knife is built around a short utility blade with a plain edge. That is a different layout from the longer drop-point or tanto blades you see on many OTF knives. A plain edge is easy to keep clean and simple to touch up, and the blade is replaceable when it wears out. The Kinetic Locking System holds the blade in place once it is out. It belongs to Cobratec’s CTK series.

Size and build

The handle is 6061-T6 aluminum in black. Closed, the knife measures 3.37 inches. Open, it measures 5.12 inches overall. It weighs 3.2 oz, so it carries easily in a pocket without dragging it down.

It suits people who open boxes, cut cord, strip packaging, or trim material through the day and want a small automatic that does it. It also works as a backup cutter in a tool bag or range bag.

Good companions include a spare utility blade, a pocket organizer, a belt pouch, a small multi-tool, and a flashlight. Automatic knives are regulated differently from place to place, so check your local rules before you order.
