1:10" twist, 5/8×24 threaded muzzle
Grade V/VI walnut stock, rosewood forend and grip cap
The Browning X-Bolt 2 Medallion is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Sprg, built around a 22″ free-floating, hand-chambered barrel. The rifle is 42.75″ long overall and has a 1:10″ twist rate. It is a classic big-game cartridge in a rifle that is easy to carry in the field.
The stock is Grade V/VI walnut, finished with a rosewood forend and grip cap. The metalwork has a matte blue carbon fiber finish. The bolt has a short 60-degree lift, which leaves more room around the scope and the bolt handle. The trigger is adjustable, so you can set it to suit your hand. A tang safety sits within easy reach of your thumb.
Set up for an optic and a suppressor
This rifle has no sights. It is drilled and tapped, so you will want to add scope bases, rings and an optic that suits your hunting. The barrel is threaded for a 5/8×24 muzzle brake and is suppressor ready. If you plan to run a suppressor, buy one that fits that thread.
Feeding is from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 4+1 rounds. Extra magazines are a smart add-on for range days. A good sling, a hard case and a bipod round out the kit. This rifle suits deer, elk and similar game hunters who want a walnut rifle with modern features.
