The Christensen Arms MPR is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC, with a 26″ barrel. It holds 5 rounds. Those three facts tell you most of what you need to know before you start planning a build around it.
The bolt action is a simple, familiar way to run a rifle. You cycle each round by hand, which keeps the manual of arms easy to learn. The 26″ barrel is a longer length, and it suits shooters who plan to spend their time at the bench, in a blind, or behind a bipod. The 7mm PRC chambering gives you a modern cartridge to load for.
Who it fits
This rifle suits hunters who want a bolt gun in 7mm PRC. It also suits precision shooters who like to work with a single cartridge and tune their loads. If you already shoot a bolt action, the controls will feel familiar.
For gear, start with a good scope and a set of rings that match the rifle. Add a bipod or shooting rest for steady support, and a sling for carrying it afield. You will also want ammunition in 7mm PRC and a hard case for travel. Because it is a firearm, it ships to a local FFL of your choice for pickup.
