Cimarron 1873 Texas Bushpopper .45 Colt Lever-Action Rifle, 18″ Barrel

Product Description

The Cimarron 1873 Texas Bushpopper is a lever-action rifle chambered in .45 Colt, with an 18″ octagon barrel. Uberti in Italy makes it. It holds 10+1 rounds and fires from an external hammer, so you thumb the hammer back as part of the shooting routine.

What sets it apart

The octagon barrel and the color case hardened finish give this rifle the look of an old frontier carbine. The stock is checkered walnut, which gives your hands a positive grip. Sights are a blade up front and an adjustable buckhorn at the rear, so you can tune the point of impact to your load. Overall length is 36.87″, which keeps it handy for a lever gun with a full-capacity magazine.

This rifle suits shooters who enjoy traditional lever actions. It makes sense for cowboy-style matches, steel targets at moderate range, and anyone who wants a classic-looking rifle in a pistol-caliber chambering. The .45 Colt round also lets you shop for ammunition you may already use elsewhere.

For gear, start with a good supply of .45 Colt ammunition and a set of eye and ear protection. A leather sling or a cartridge belt fits the style of the rifle. A cleaning rod and a gun rug or hard case will help you keep it in shape and carry it safely to the range.
