The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC with a 20″ barrel. The barrel is fluted and free floating, with a 1:10″ twist. The finish is Smoked Bronze Cerakote, and overall length is 40″.
The big feature here is how much you can adjust. The Vari-Tech stock lets you change length of pull, comb height and grip angle, and it comes with 2 grip modules. The DLX trigger is a multi-lever design that you can adjust as well. Browning lists the bolt as smooth-running, and a tang safety sits within easy reach of your thumb.
Set up for a scope and a brake
This rifle has no sights, so plan on adding an optic. It is drilled and tapped for mounts. The muzzle has a target crown and a muzzle brake, and the barrel is threaded. Ammunition feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 3+1 rounds.
It suits hunters who carry a rifle a long way and still want a 6.5 PRC for distance. It also fits shooters who like to tune a rifle to their own fit. Good partners include a quality scope, rings and bases that match the drilled and tapped receiver, a bipod, a sling and a spare magazine. Check the thread pitch with the maker before you buy any muzzle device.
