Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Featherweight Bolt-Action Rifle

Product Description

The Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Featherweight is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.8 Western, with a 24″ barrel. The barrel is hammer-forged and free floating. It has a 1:8″ twist and a target crown at the muzzle. Overall length is 44.25″.

What sets it apart

This rifle uses controlled round feed with a claw extractor. That is the feature many Model 70 fans look for in a bolt gun. The trigger is Winchester’s MOA system. The magazine is a hinged floorplate design that holds 3+1 rounds. A three-position safety sits on the action. The finish is polished blue, and the stock is checkered satin walnut.

The barrel is the Featherweight profile, so this rifle suits hunters who plan to carry it on the trail as much as shoot it. If you want a traditional look in a modern 6.8 Western chambering, this is a straightforward choice.

The rifle has no sights, but it is drilled and tapped. You will need to add a scope base and rings, then mount an optic that suits your hunting. Other useful gear includes a sling, a padded or hard rifle case, and a supply of 6.8 Western ammunition to sight in and practice before the season.
