The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with an 18″ fluted, free-floating barrel. The short barrel keeps the overall length at 38″, which makes it easy to carry and easy to handle in tight spots.
The fit is adjustable. The Vari-Tech stock comes with 2 grip modules, and you can change the length of pull, the comb height and the grip angle. The trigger is a multi-lever DLX design with adjustable settings. The barrel has a 1:7″ twist, a target crown and a muzzle brake, and it is threaded. The action is drilled and tapped, and the rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 4+1 rounds. The tang safety sits within easy reach of your thumb. The finish is Smoked Bronze Cerakote.
Who it suits and what goes with it
This rifle suits hunters who want a compact 6.5 Creedmoor and shooters who like to tune a rifle to their own build. It has no sights, so plan on a scope. Because the action is drilled and tapped, you can mount optics with rings and bases that match the rifle. A bipod, a sling and a spare magazine round out a field setup. Stock up on 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition so you can sort out which loads this rifle likes at the range.
