The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm Rem Mag with a 26″ fluted, free-floating barrel. The twist rate is 1:9.5″, and overall length is 46.75″. It feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 3+1 rounds, and one magazine is listed with the rifle.
The “Speed” in the name points to the bolt. It has a short throw 60 degree lift, so you can cycle the action quickly for a follow-up shot without lifting your head far off the stock. The trigger is adjustable, and the safety is a tang type that sits right where your thumb falls.
Built for the field
The barrel is threaded and carries a 5/8×24 muzzle brake, and a thread protector is part of the feature set. The rifle is suppressor ready. The stock is a Vari-Tech in Flat Dark Earth, matched to a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped.
This rifle has no sights, so plan on adding an optic. A quality scope with bases and rings suits the drilled and tapped receiver. A sling and a bipod are natural additions for glassing long open country and shooting from a rest. If you plan to run a suppressor, pick one that fits the 5/8×24 threading. This rifle fits hunters after elk, mule deer or antelope and range shooters who like the 7mm Rem Mag.
