The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a .270 Win bolt-action rifle with a 22″ fluted, free-floating barrel. It has a 1:10″ twist and a Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish. Overall length is 42.75″.
The Vari-Tech stock is the main difference here. It comes with 2 grip modules, and the length of pull, comb and grip angle all adjust. That lets you set the rifle up for your frame and your shooting position instead of living with a fixed stock. The trigger is a multi-lever DLX adjustable unit, so you can tune the pull as well. The safety is a tang safety, and the bolt is described as smooth running.
Muzzle and Feeding
The barrel ends in a target crown with a muzzle brake, and it is threaded. Rounds feed from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 4+1 rounds. Swapping or reloading the magazine is quick, and the rotary design is meant to feed cleanly.
This rifle suits hunters who want a .270 Win for deer-size game and care about fit and trigger feel. It has no sights, so you will need an optic. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so pick scope bases and rings made for it, then add a quality scope. A sling, a padded rifle case and a basic cleaning kit round out the setup. Match your .270 Win ammunition to the game you hunt.
