Howa USA Lightning .243 Win Bolt-Action Rifle, 16.25″ Barrel

Product Description

The Howa USA Lightning is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .243 Win with a 16.25″ Lite Profile barrel. Overall length is 38.75″, so it stays compact and easy to handle. The barrel has a 1:10″ twist, and the rifle sits in an HS Precision stock.

The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28, and the rifle is suppressor ready. You can run a suppressor or a muzzle device that fits that thread. The HACT trigger and the 3 position safety handle the controls. The hinged floorplate magazine holds 4+1 rounds. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle has no sights, so you will add your own optic.

Who it suits

This rifle suits hunters and shooters who want a short .243 Win for tight spots like blinds, brush and vehicles. The 13.37″ length of pull and 38.75″ overall length keep it easy to shoulder and carry. The Lite Profile barrel keeps the front end slim.

For gear, start with a scope plus rings and bases that match the drilled and tapped receiver. Add a sling, a cleaning kit and .243 Win ammunition for load testing. If you plan to run a suppressor, pick one that mounts on 1/2×28 threads.
