Howa USA Lite Short .308 Win Bolt-Action Rifle, 16.25″ Barrel

Product Description

The Howa USA Lite Short is a .308 Win bolt-action rifle built around a 16.25″ Lite profile barrel. The short barrel keeps the overall length to 38.75″, which makes it easy to carry through brush and to handle in tight spaces like a blind or a truck cab.

The barrel has a 1:10″ twist and a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle, so it is suppressor ready. If you do not plan to run a suppressor right away, a thread protector or compatible muzzle device can go on the threads. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases. The rifle has no sights, so you will need to add an optic before you head out.

Stock, trigger and feed

The HS Precision stock has a 13.37″ length of pull. The rifle uses a HACT trigger and a 3 position safety. The magazine is a hinged floorplate type and holds 4+1 rounds, which is plenty for hunting and for a day at the range.

This rifle suits hunters who work in thick cover, shooters who want a compact .308 Win, and anyone building a suppressed bolt gun. Good gear to pair with it includes a scope and bases, a sling, a bipod, a suppressor with a 1/2×28 mount, and a padded case sized for a short rifle. Pick .308 Win ammunition that fits your use, whether that is hunting or target work.
