Stevens 555 Sporting Compact 12 Gauge Break-Action Shotgun, 26″ Barrel

Product Description

The Stevens 555 Sporting Compact is a 12 gauge break-action shotgun with a 26″ chrome-lined barrel. It is an over/under, so it holds 2 rounds, one in each barrel. The chamber is 3″, and a manual extractor lifts fired shells when you open the action.

The stock is checkered Turkish walnut with a 13.5″ length of pull. Overall length is 42.5″. The metal wears a matte black finish, and fiber optic sights give you a bright front reference when you swing on a target.

Chokes and trigger

Five chokes are listed for this gun: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. That range lets you open up for close clays or upland birds, or tighten the pattern for longer shots. The trigger is a single selective mechanical design, so you use one trigger for both barrels and pick which barrel fires first.

This gun fits shooters who want a simple, two-shot shotgun for clays, small game or bird hunting. Good gear to pair with it includes a shell pouch or shooting vest, quality 12 gauge shotshells, eye and ear protection, and a padded case for the trip to the range or field.
