Thompson/center Encore Pro Hunter Tactical is a break-action rifle chambered in .338 ARC, built around a 16″ barrel. It holds one round, so each shot is a deliberate one. An external hammer fires it, and a hammer block safety is part of the design.
What sets it apart
The muzzle is threaded 11/16×24, and the rifle is suppressor ready. It is also drilled and tapped, and it has no sights, so the optic setup is up to you. The trigger is adjustable for overtravel, which lets you tune how it breaks to your own preference. The finish is Matte Black Cerakote, and the stock is Black Flextech. This model is a Davidson’s Exclusive.
This rifle suits hunters who like the simplicity of a single-shot break action and want the short 16″ barrel. It also fits shooters who enjoy putting a rifle together their own way, since nothing is fixed on top of the receiver.
For gear, start with a scope and a set of mounts that match the drilled and tapped holes. Add a sling for carrying in the field. If you run a suppressor, check that it fits the 11/16×24 thread. Stock up on .338 ARC ammunition and a cleaning kit, and a good case will protect the rifle in transit.
