Charter Arms Bulldog .44 S&W Spl Revolver, 3″ Barrel, 5-Round

Product Description

The Charter Arms Bulldog is a 5-round double-action revolver chambered in .44 S&W Spl. It has a 3″ barrel and a small steel frame, and it weighs 20 oz. That makes it a compact revolver you can carry without much fuss.

The Bulldog uses a 3-point cylinder lock-up to hold the cylinder in place. The hammer is spurred, so you can thumb it back for a single-action shot or just pull through in double action. Sights are fixed, front and rear, so there is nothing to adjust or snag. Wood grips round out the package, and the frame wears a Black Passivate Coating.

Who it suits

This revolver fits shooters who like a simple wheelgun. There is no safety to manage and no magazine to seat. Load the cylinder, close it, and you are ready to shoot. The short 3″ barrel and small frame make it a sensible choice for concealed carry where local law allows, for a nightstand gun, or for a truck or cabin gun.

Plan on a few accessories. A belt or inside-the-waistband holster sized for a small-frame revolver is a good first purchase. Speed loaders or speed strips help with reloads. Add .44 Special ammunition for practice and for carry, a cleaning kit, eye and ear protection, and a lockbox for safe storage at home.
