The Rost Martin RM1X is a 9mm Luger pistol with a 4″ hammer-forged barrel and a 10+1-round capacity. It is a double-action pistol with a polymer frame and black polymer grips, and it is made in the USA.
The details that set it apart are on the controls and the slide. All of the controls are fully ambidextrous, so left-handed and right-handed shooters run the same gun. The trigger has a flat face and an extra short reset, which helps with quick follow-up shots. The slide uses an RMR optic footprint, so a red dot that fits that pattern can go on without a custom cut. Iron sights are white dot up front with a black serrated rear.
Size and weight
The RM1X weighs 23 oz and measures 7.1″ overall. That is a manageable size for range work, home defense, and a duty-style or concealed carry setup. An accessory rail on the frame gives you a place to mount a light or laser. Two magazines are included, so you can start training with a spare right away.
Good gear to pair with it includes a holster molded for an optic-ready 9mm with a rail, a red dot sight in the RMR footprint, a weapon light, extra magazines, and 9mm Luger ammunition for practice and carry. Check that a holster fits both the 4″ barrel and any optic or light you plan to run.
