The Diamondback Firearms Sidekick is a double action revolver in .22 WMR|22 LR with a 4.5″ barrel. It holds 9 rounds and uses a dual cylinder setup on a swing-out arm.
What sets the Sidekick apart
The dual cylinder design is the main difference. It lets one revolver work with both .22 WMR and 22 LR. The barrel has 6 grooves, and the sights are a blade up front with an integral rear. The revolver wears a Blue Cerakote finish and checkered glass filled nylon grips. Overall length is 9.875″ and weight is 32.5 oz, so it has some heft on the range.
This revolver suits shooters who like rimfire for practice, plinking and casual target work. Double action means you can fire by pulling the trigger straight through, with no need to cock the hammer first. The 4.5″ barrel gives a longer sight radius than a snub-nose, which helps when you are learning trigger control.
For gear, start with eye and ear protection, a padded range bag and a cleaning kit sized for .22 caliber. Pick up a box of 22 LR or .22 WMR ammunition, depending on which cylinder you plan to shoot. A holster cut for a 4.5″ revolver and a lockable case for transport round out the setup.
