Product Description
Barnes VOR-TX is a box of 20 rounds of .300 Blk ammunition with a 120 gr TAC-TX BT bullet and a muzzle velocity of 2100 fps. It is a factory-loaded centerfire cartridge, so there is nothing to assemble or measure before you load a magazine.
The main thing that sets this load apart is the lead-free bullet. Barnes also names the bullet type as TAC-TX BT, which tells you which projectile is seated in the case. The 120 gr weight and the 2100 fps muzzle velocity are the two numbers to check against your own rifle and your own range plans.
Who it suits
This ammo fits shooters who own a firearm chambered in .300 Blackout and prefer a lead-free load. If you already run .300 Blk and want a boxed Barnes option, this is a straightforward one to stock in your range bag. Check the caliber marking on your barrel before you buy. Only .300 Blk ammunition belongs in a .300 Blk chamber.
For gear, plan on magazines made for the caliber, an ammo can or box for storage, and eye and ear protection for the range. A cleaning kit sized for your rifle and a sling or range bag round out the setup. A single 20-round box is also an easy way to see how the load runs in your firearm.
