Product Description
Fiocchi Ammunition Golden Pheasant 28 Gauge Ammo is a box of 25 shotshells with a muzzle velocity of 1200 fps. The manufacturer part number is 283GP5.
This load comes in a 3-inch shell and uses size 5 shot. The long hull matters in one practical way: your shotgun must be chambered for 3-inch shells before you run it. Check the barrel marking or your owner’s manual if you are unsure. Size 5 shot is a common choice for upland birds, and the Golden Pheasant name points straight at that kind of hunting.
Who it suits
This is a field load for hunters who carry a 28 gauge. If you chase pheasant on a preserve or walk a fence line for wild birds, a box like this belongs in your vest. It also suits shooters who want a light-recoiling gauge without giving up a 3-inch hull.
Pair it with a good shell vest or game bag, a set of hearing protection, and shooting glasses. If you swap choke tubes for different cover, keep a choke wrench in the bag. A pair of boots and a blaze orange cap round out the day. Stock up by the box so you have enough for a full season of walking.
