SureFire SOCOM SFCT Muzzle Device, 5.56mm, 1/2×28

Product Description

The SureFire SOCOM SFCT muzzle device is a 5.56mm flash hider and suppressor mount designed for rifles with 1/2×28 threaded barrels. It serves as both a stand-alone muzzle device and a quick-detach mounting platform for SureFire SOCOM series suppressors.

The SFCT uses the proven fast-attach system that locks suppressors in place with a single turn. When used without a suppressor, it reduces muzzle flash and helps manage recoil.

This muzzle device is built for shooters who want the flexibility to run suppressed or unsuppressed without removing the mount.

How the SureFire SFCT Works with Suppressors

The SFCT is designed to accept SureFire SOCOM series suppressors that use the fast-attach mounting system. The suppressor indexes onto the mount and locks with a quick turn. This allows you to attach or remove a suppressor in seconds without tools.

When no suppressor is attached, the SFCT functions as a flash hider. The tines disrupt gas flow at the muzzle, reducing visible flash signature during low-light shooting.

Compatibility and Thread Pitch

The 1/2×28 thread pitch is the standard for 5.56mm and .223 caliber AR-15 barrels. Before installing any muzzle device, verify your barrel’s thread pitch. Most mil-spec and commercial AR-15 barrels in 5.56mm use 1/2×28 threads, but always confirm before ordering.

The SFCT is caliber-specific. Use only with 5.56mm NATO or .223 Remington chambered rifles. Installing a 5.56mm muzzle device on a larger caliber can cause dangerous pressure issues and barrel damage.

Installation and Tools Required

Installing the SureFire SFCT requires a crush washer or shim kit for proper timing and a torque wrench for correct installation. The device must be timed so the suppressor locking mechanism aligns properly.

Incorrect timing can prevent suppressor attachment and may affect accuracy.
