The Magpul MOE Mil-Spec Stock in OD Green is a carbine-length buttstock designed for AR-15 and M16 pattern rifles with mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. This stock delivers a sloping cheek weld that balances comfort with a slim profile. The shielded release latch prevents snagging and accidental deployment during operation.

Magpul engineered this stock with a premium chrome-silicon lock spring for positive locking across the adjustment positions. The removable 0.30″ rubber butt-pad provides an anti-slip surface and impact protection. Side mounting slots accept optional cheek risers for non-AR15/M16 applications.

Mil-Spec vs. Commercial Buffer Tube Fit

The Magpul MOE Mil-Spec model fits only mil-spec diameter receiver extension tubes. Mil-spec tubes measure approximately 1.14″ in outer diameter. Commercial tubes are wider and require a commercial-spec stock. Trying to force this stock onto a commercial tube will damage the locking mechanism.

Sling Mounting and Accessories

The Magpul MOE Mil-Spec stock accepts sling attachments at three points. Two 1.25″ slots at the rear and bottom accommodate push-button QD sling swivels or standard loop slings. A lanyard hole at the toe allows custom paracord rigs.

For shooters running night-vision optics or taller mounts, the side slots accept Magpul cheek risers. Those risers are sold separately and raise your cheek position without adding bulk to the sides of the stock.
