⚠ SHORT BARREL RIFLE (SBR) — NO FORM 4 REQUIRED Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for short-barreled rifles. It transfers on a standard Form 4473 with a NICS background check. Your state’s law still applies, and taking one across state lines still needs an approved ATF Form 5320.20. IWI Zion-15: AR-15 Built to Israeli Standards
The Zion-15 incorporates design elements from IWI’s experience building rifles for the IDF. IWI US manufactures the Zion-15 in the United States. The 11.5″ SBR configuration provides significantly better handling than a standard-length AR in confined environments.
FAQ
Is the Zion SBR a suppressor host? Yes — the 11.5″ barrel is an excellent 5.56 suppressor host. The SBR and suppressor are separate NFA items requiring separate Form 4 transfers.
What muzzle thread? Standard 1/2×28 — compatible with standard AR-15 muzzle devices and suppressors.
How does NFA SBR work? Same as a suppressor: BATFE Form 4, background check, No Form 4 needed. Western Sport handles all paperwork.
