Derya DY9Z 9mm Pistol, 3.5″ Barrel, Black/OD Green, 15-Round

Product Description

The Derya DY9Z is a striker-fired 9mm pistol with a 3.5″ barrel and 15-round capacity. It is a sub-compact semi-auto with a polymer frame, so it stays slim for carry while still holding 15+1.

A few things set this model apart. The slide is cut for an RMSc footprint optic, so you can mount a compatible red dot without sending the slide out for milling. The sights are fixed fiber optic, with a red front and a green rear from Truglo, which helps you pick up the front sight fast in dim light. Interchangeable backstraps let you adjust the grip to your hand. Safety is handled by a firing pin block and an anti-drop trigger block.

Who it suits

This pistol fits someone who wants a compact carry gun without giving up magazine capacity. It also works as a nightstand pistol or a range gun. The black Melonite slide sits on an olive drab green dyed frame, which gives it a look that stands apart from the usual all-black pistol.

For gear, start with a holster made for a sub-compact 9mm with a 3.5″ barrel. If you plan to run an optic, pick a red dot that fits the RMSc footprint. Extra 9mm magazines, a cleaning kit and a good set of range ammo round out a basic setup. Your local FFL will handle the transfer when the pistol arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Derya DY9Z optics ready?

A: Yes. The slide comes cut for an RMSc footprint optic, so a red dot that matches that footprint can mount directly.

Q: What magazine does the Derya DY9Z use, and how many come with it?

A: It uses a 15-round magazine, and 1 magazine is included. The manufacturer describes it as a durable metal magazine.

Q: Is the Derya DY9Z a good pistol for concealed carry?

A: It is built for it. It is a sub-compact, polymer-frame 9mm with a 3.5" barrel, 15+1 capacity, interchangeable backstraps, and firing pin block and anti-drop trigger block safeties.

Q: Can I upgrade the sights on the Derya DY9Z?

A: The factory sights are fixed fiber optic, a red front and a green rear. The slide is optics ready, so adding a red dot is the clearest upgrade path.
