The Christensen Arms Evoke .308 Win 20″ Mobil delivers precision, speed, and lightweight handling in one compact platform. Built on a proven Remington 700 pattern action with a carbon fiber-wrapped barrel, this entry-level centerfire rifle weighs just 6.3 lbs—a dramatic advantage over traditional steel-barreled competitors—while maintaining the .308 Winchester’s legendary versatility for hunting, target shooting, and general rifle work terrain.
About Christensen Arms
Founded in 1995 in Gunnison, Utah, Christensen Arms pioneered production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology and has remained a leader in lightweight precision rifles for nearly three decades. Every Christensen rifle features aerospace-grade materials: a match-grade stainless steel barrel core wrapped in carbon fiber, combined with titanium hardware and premium composites. This engineering approach delivers rifles that weigh 5–7 lbs while maintaining the rigidity, accuracy, and durability expected from a serious hunting or precision platform—performance that steel barrels cannot match at comparable weights.
The Evoke represents Christensen Arms’ commitment to delivering entry-level precision without compromising on the engineering that defines the brand. The 20″ threaded barrel accommodates a suppressor or muzzle device, making this rifle equally at home on a hunting expedition or at the range. At 6.3 lbs, it’s nimble enough for all-day field work—whether you’re stalking whitetail in the Texas brush, executing precision shots at distance, or working through drills. The Rem 700 pattern action is arguably the most customizable bolt-action platform in existence, offering shooters a foundation for future upgrades, optics, and accessories.
The .308 Winchester remains the most versatile centerfire cartridge: matched to hunting, long-range target shooting, and competitive precision rifle events. Paired with Christensen’s carbon fiber barrel technology, the Evoke .308 delivers accuracy and repeatability without the weight penalty of traditional steel. The AICS-compatible magazine system provides reliability and flexibility across platforms. This is a rifle for the shooter who demands proven performance, genuine weight savings, and the confidence that comes from Christensen’s 30-year track record in precision engineering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is the .308 Winchester the ideal choice for the Evoke?
A: The .308 Winchester is the most versatile centerfire cartridge available. It excels at hunting medium to large game, delivers proven accuracy at long range, and is widely used in precision rifle competitions. Factory ammunition is readily available, ballistics are well-established, and the cartridge delivers flat trajectory with manageable recoil—making it ideal for both hunters and precision shooters using the Evoke platform.
Q: How does Christensen’s carbon fiber barrel technology reduce weight without sacrificing accuracy?
A: Christensen wraps a match-grade stainless steel barrel core with aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The stainless steel maintains rigidity and heat dissipation, ensuring consistent accuracy shot after shot. The carbon fiber wrap reduces overall weight dramatically—the Evoke weighs just 6.3 lbs compared to 8–10 lbs for steel-barreled competitors—while the composite structure actually enhances vibration damping and accuracy. This is engineered precision, not compromise.
Q: What does the threaded barrel offer, and why does it matter?
A: The 20″ threaded barrel accepts suppressors, muzzle brakes, or flash hiders. For hunters, a suppressor reduces recoil and hearing damage while keeping the rifle compact and agile in the field. For target shooters, a muzzle brake helps manage recoil and improves follow-up shot accuracy. For precision riflemen, the threaded barrel allows tuning for your specific load and shooting environment. It’s genuine versatility built in.
Q: Is the Evoke suitable for hunting, long-range shooting, or both?
A: The Evoke excels at both. At 6.3 lbs, it’s nimble enough for all-day hunting expeditions across Texas terrain. The .308 Winchester ballistics and 20″ barrel deliver effective range and power for whitetail and mule deer. At the same time, the Rem 700 pattern action, AICS magazine system, and Christensen’s precision engineering make it a legitimate platform for precision target shooting and long-range practice. It’s a genuinely all-purpose rifle.
