What CANCON Las Vegas 2026 is
Picture a live-fire trade show. Dozens of manufacturers line the firing line with their suppressors mounted on host guns, and you walk down the row shooting whatever interests you. Rimfire cans that make a .22 sound like a stapler, 9mm pistols, gas guns, big .30-caliber setups, even suppressed revolvers and oddball stuff you’ll never see at a local range. Two full days of general admission shooting, plus a third day up front reserved for VIP ticket holders.
For anyone on the fence about buying a suppressor, this kind of trigger time is worth more than a hundred YouTube reviews. Sound is subjective, tone matters as much as decibels, and backpressure on a gas gun is something you feel, not read about.
The VIP ticket
VIP sales for CANCON Las Vegas 2026 opened July 4 at 9 a.m. Pacific, and history says they go fast, sometimes in minutes, so check availability before you plan around one. If you can get it, VIP gets you early entry on Thursday, October 22, which means short lines at the popular stations, plus priority access to vendor merchandise. Then there’s the VIP bag, which is the stuff of legend at this event. Past bags have included triggers, optics, training gear, and even complete firearms. It has historically been worth well more than the ticket.
Beyond the firing line
The OFFGRID BASECAMP returns with hands-on instruction from survival and outdoor experts, which pairs well with the shooting if preparedness is your thing (mine too; my practical preparedness guide covers the sensible version). The “Pros vs. Joes” series is the fun one: random attendees get pulled up to compete head-to-head against industry pros and editorial staff in blind challenges. Nobody knows the course or the gear until they’re on the line, prizes are on the table, and the whole thing gets filmed.
