In Texas, thermal is a hog-hunting tool first and everything else second. Western Sport stocks 150+ thermal units at our Roanoke, TX shop in the north Dallas–Fort Worth corridor — ATN, AGM Global Vision, Pulsar, Nocpix and RIX Tactical.
What we carry
Thermal scopes for rifles, handheld thermal monoculars for scanning, thermal binoculars for extended glassing, and clip-on units that mount in front of an existing day scope so you keep your zero. We also stock night vision if image intensification suits you better.
Reading the spec sheet
Three numbers matter. Sensor resolution (384×288 versus 640×480) sets how much detail you get. NETD, measured in millikelvin, sets how well the unit separates similar temperatures — lower is better, and anything under 25 mK is genuinely good in humid Texas air. Base magnification matters more than maximum, because digital zoom past the native power just enlarges pixels.
Thermal is a real investment. Come look through a few before you commit — spec sheets do not tell you how an image looks to your eye.
