The Beretta A400 Solo is a 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with a 3″ chamber and a 28″ barrel. Beretta built it as a crossover gun for hunters who work in harsh country and need a shotgun that keeps cycling when the weather turns bad.
The B-LINK Pro gas-operating system handles cycling. Beretta says it runs faster and cleaner and shoots smoothly. The Kick-Off Plus recoil reduction system is the other big feature. Beretta states it cuts felt recoil by up to 40%, which helps keep your cheek on the stock for quick follow-up shots. The synthetic Kick-Off stock and the B-Uffer recoil pad work with that system. Steelium barrels, a B-Lok magazine cap and a fiber optic front sight round out the gun.
Who it suits
This is a right-handed gun in Mossy Oak Original Shadowgrass camo. It fits hunters who spend long days in grass, marsh and field edges and want a finish that blends in. The three Optima HP extended chokes (Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder) let you change patterns for the game and range you expect.
Good gear to pair with it includes a padded sling, a hard or soft shotgun case, a choke tube wrench, a cleaning kit and a good supply of 3″ or shorter hunting loads matched to your choke.
