The Christensen Arms Evoke 6.5 Creedmoor delivers precision performance in a lightweight, modern platform built for serious hunters and long-range shooters.
The Christensen Arms Evoke 6.5 Creedmoor 20″ Mobil delivers precision hunting performance in a remarkably lightweight package—just 6.3 lbs—without compromising the accuracy that defines Christensen’s carbon fiber barrel technology. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, the world’s most popular precision rifle cartridge, this entry-level bolt-action rifle offers sub-MOA potential at a price point under $1,000, making it an ideal first precision hunting rifle for shooters seeking real engineering rather than compromise.
About Christensen Arms
Founded in 1995 in Gunnison, Utah, Christensen Arms pioneered production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology—a process that wraps a match-grade stainless steel barrel core in aerospace-grade carbon fiber. This exclusive construction reduces weight by up to 40% compared to traditional steel barrels while maintaining rigidity, thermal stability, and repeatable accuracy. Every Christensen rifle leverages this innovation alongside titanium hardware and premium composites, ensuring that even entry-level models like the Evoke deliver the precision and handling characteristics of rifles costing significantly more.
The Evoke is Christensen’s dedicated entry point to precision bolt-action rifles, built on the time-proven Remington 700 action and designed specifically for hunters and precision shooters who refuse to sacrifice quality for accessibility. The 20″ carbon fiber barrel delivers fast handling in the field while maintaining the rigidity needed for sub-MOA accuracy—6.5 Creedmoor’s inherent ballistics and low recoil make it the natural choice for long-range hunting, whether pursuing whitetail at 400 yards or elk at extended distances. The threaded barrel opens suppressor compatibility, letting hunters reduce muzzle report and recoil without adding meaningful weight or bulk.
At 6.3 lbs, the Evoke Mobil represents a genuine weight advantage over traditional hunting rifles, translating to reduced fatigue during multi-day hunts and easier shouldering in brush or tight blinds. The composite stock and AICS-compatible magazine provide modern ergonomics and ammunition compatibility, while the Mobil finish offers a contemporary aesthetic that performs as well as it looks. For shooters stepping into precision rifle ownership, the Evoke eliminates the “someday” mentality—it’s accurate enough to compete, affordable enough to own today, and built with the same engineering integrity as Christensen’s flagship models.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is 6.5 Creedmoor the choice for this rifle?
A: 6.5 Creedmoor is the world’s most popular precision rifle cartridge, offering excellent ballistics for long-range hunting, low recoil for follow-up shots, and widespread ammunition availability. Its combination of velocity, wind-bucking, and energy retention makes it ideal for hunting applications from whitetail to elk, while its inherent accuracy supports competitive precision shooting.
Q: What makes the Evoke’s carbon fiber barrel lighter than steel?
A: Christensen’s carbon fiber-wrapped barrel features a match-grade stainless steel core surrounded by aerospace-grade carbon fiber composite. This construction reduces weight by up to 40% compared to traditional all-steel barrels while maintaining rigidity, thermal stability, and accuracy. The Evoke’s 20″ barrel weighs significantly less than competitive offerings, contributing to the rifle’s sub-7 lb handling advantage.
Q: Is the Evoke 6.5 CM accurate enough for precision shooting or competition?
A: Yes. The Evoke is built on a Remington 700 action with a match-grade carbon fiber barrel and is capable of sub-MOA accuracy. While designed primarily for hunting, the platform’s precision credentials and AICS-compatible magazine make it suitable for entry-level precision rifle competitions and demanding hunting scenarios requiring accurate shots at extended ranges.
Q: Can I suppress the Evoke 6.5 Creedmoor?
A: Yes. The Evoke comes with a threaded 20″ barrel, making it suppressor-ready. Adding a suppressor reduces muzzle report and recoil for hunting applications without significantly increasing the rifle’s weight or overall length, maintaining the Evoke’s lightweight handling advantage in the field.
