A 0.3 oz steel, manganese phosphate coated limited-rotation QD sling mount for the Daniel Defense MFR Rail, Omega rail and DELTA 5 Stock only. Not compatible with the MFR XL Rail, DD5 Rail or other makers’ M-LOK rails.
The Daniel Defense M-LOK QD Sling Mount is a steel, 0.3 oz limited-rotation QD sling mount designed specifically for the Daniel Defense MFR Rail, and it is only compatible with the MFR Rail, the Omega rail and the DELTA 5 Stock – not the MFR XL Rail, not the DD5 Rail, and not another maker’s M-LOK handguard.
Start with that compatibility list, because M-LOK on the box does not mean universal here. This mount attaches at designated points at the front and rear on both sides of the MFR Rail system, not anywhere along the slot run, and those locations are what limit it to three Daniel Defense products. With an MFR XL or a DD5 rail, this is the wrong part.
What you get for that specificity is a sling mount that behaves properly. It accepts a push button sling swivel on either side for ambidextrous use, and it is a limited-rotation accessory – the swivel moves through a controlled arc rather than spinning, which stops a sling wrapping around the handguard while you move.

Q: Will this QD sling mount fit any M-LOK rail?
A: No, and this is the single most important fact on the page. It is only compatible with the MFR Rail, the Omega rail and the DELTA 5 Stock. It is not compatible with the MFR XL Rail, the DD5 Rail, or any other manufacturer’s M-LOK rail system, even though it uses M-LOK slots.
Q: Why will it not fit an MFR XL if it fits an MFR?
A: Because it mounts at designated points at the front and rear on both sides of the MFR Rail system rather than in any slot along the run. Those designated locations are specific to the MFR, Omega and DELTA 5, which is why the MFR XL and DD5 rails are excluded by name.
Q: What sling swivel does it take?
A: It accepts a push button sling swivel – the standard QD swivel – and allows ambidextrous attachment, so you can move the sling from side to side as your set-up changes. The mount itself is a limited-rotation accessory, which is what keeps a sling from tangling.
Q: What does limited rotation mean in practice?
A: The swivel can rotate through a restricted arc rather than spinning freely. That is deliberate: it lets the sling follow the rifle as you move it across your body, but stops the sling wrapping itself around the handguard when the rifle is slung muzzle-down and shifted around.
Q: Do I need a tool to install it?
A: A 1/8 in. Allen wrench is part of this item, so you are not hunting for a hex key on the bench. Installation is a matter of seating the mount at its designated location and tightening it down – a few minutes of work with the rifle on a towel.
Q: What is it made of, and how much does it add to the rifle?
A: Steel construction with a heavy manganese phosphate coating, at 0.3 oz. Steel matters on a sling mount because it carries the entire weight of the rifle through one small part when you let go, and phosphate over steel is a corrosion-resistant finish that tolerates sweat and rain.
