Product Description

Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

The Dead Air Armament Pyro 2.0, part number DA466C, is a P-Series suppressor paired with a DA457 Xeno adapter and a 45CAL front cap. That pairing is what sets this DA466C configuration apart. You get the mounting piece and the front cap chosen to go together.

The Xeno adapter is the part that connects the suppressor to your host firearm’s muzzle device or barrel. The 45CAL front cap points to .45 caliber use. Before you order, confirm that your barrel or muzzle device works with the DA457 adapter. Dead Air’s documentation is the place to check caliber ratings and host firearm limits.

Who it suits

This suppressor fits shooters who already know the P-Series name and want a Pyro 2.0 with the adapter and front cap sorted out. It makes sense for someone building a suppressed pistol or rifle setup around a threaded barrel. It also suits a buyer who wants a .45 caliber front cap in the configuration from the start.

Pair it with a firearm that has a threaded barrel or a compatible muzzle device. Suppressor-rated ammunition, a suppressor cover, and good hearing protection round out the kit. Suppressors are regulated items, so the purchase goes through a licensed dealer. Western Sport is an FFL/SOT dealer and can handle the transfer.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
