The Mojave’s modular architecture is its defining feature. Run it in full configuration for maximum suppression on a compact pistol, or trim it down to compact mode for a shorter, lighter profile on a carry-weight host. Dead Air built the Mojave to adapt to your use case rather than forcing you to adapt to the suppressor. The baffles can be reconfigured and serviced — keeping your investment performing at its peak for years.
9mm Suppressor Performance
A well-designed 9mm suppressor reduces report to sub-hearing-safe levels on subsonic ammunition. The Mojave-9 delivers that performance across 9mm pistol hosts like GLOCK, SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson M&P, and HK, as well as pistol-caliber carbines like the Ruger PC9, CZ Scorpion, and others. Use subsonic 147gr loads for maximum suppression, or run standard 115/124gr for standard-power suppressed fire.
Frequently Asked Questions
What calibers does the Mojave-9 support? 9mm Luger, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG. It is not rated for .45 ACP — see the Mojave .45 for that caliber.
Can the Mojave-9 run on a pistol-caliber carbine? Yes. The Mojave-9 is compatible with PCC hosts like the Ruger PC Carbine, CZ Scorpion Evo, and others with the appropriate thread adapter.
What is the NFA process at Western Sport? We initiate the BATFE Form 4 e-File on your behalf. You provide fingerprints and a photo, then wait about two weeks or less for ATF approval. Under OBBBA, the tax stamp is $0.
Can the Mojave-9 be cleaned? The modular design allows disassembly for cleaning — important for the carbon buildup that pistol suppressors accumulate with wet/dirty ammunition.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.
Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.
Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
