The Sig Sauer P220 Legion is a full-size .45 ACP pistol with a 4.4″ barrel and 8-round capacity. It uses a DA/SA action on an aluminum frame, and the slide wears a Legion Gray finish.
What sets it apart
The Legion Gray slide finish gives this P220 its look. XRAY3 Day/Night sights come on the slide, so you get a clear sight picture in daylight and a glowing reference in low light. The DA/SA action means the first shot is a longer double-action pull, and follow-up shots break in single action.
The pistol weighs 30.4 oz. It measures 8″ long, 5.70″ tall, and 1.50″ wide. That is a full-size footprint, and the aluminum frame keeps the weight in check for a .45 ACP.
This pistol suits shooters who like the .45 ACP cartridge and a classic hammer-fired trigger. It fits range sessions, home defense, and anyone who carries a full-size handgun and wants sights that work in dim light.
Plan on a holster made for the P220 frame, extra magazines, and a good supply of .45 ACP ammunition. A cleaning kit, eye and ear protection, and a range bag round out the setup.
