Smith & Wesson M&p 15 SBR 5.56 NATO Semi-Auto Rifle, 11.5″ Barrel

Product Description

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 SBR is a 5.56 NATO semi-auto rifle with an 11.5″ barrel. It is a short-barreled rifle, so it is a compact take on the M&P 15 layout. The black anodized finish gives it a plain, all-black look.

The shorter barrel is the main difference. It makes the rifle easier to handle in tight spaces, such as a vehicle or a close-quarters training course. The handguard is a drop-in style, and the rifle feeds from a 30-round magazine for a 30+1 total with one in the chamber.

Sights and setup

The rifle has a fixed A2 front sight and a flip-up rear sight. Both fold, and the rear is adjustable. That gives you a working sight set right away. It also leaves room to add an optic later if you want one.

This rifle suits a buyer who already knows what an SBR is and wants one in a common caliber. Because it is an NFA item, the transfer is done through a licensed dealer with the proper paperwork.

Good gear to pair with it includes a sling, spare 30-round magazines, a red dot or other optic, a padded case, and eye and ear protection. A basic cleaning kit for 5.56 barrels rounds out the setup.
