SureFire SOCOM: The Military Standard in Suppressor Technology
SureFire has held the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) suppressor contract since 2001 — longer than any other manufacturer. The SOCOM series suppressors are used daily by Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Special Forces, Delta Force, and Marine Raiders. The civilian-available SOCOM suppressors are the same designs, same materials, and same manufacturing standards as government-issue versions. SureFire’s SOCOM Fast-Attach system is one of the most copied mounting systems in the suppressor industry. RC-series generations (RC2, RC3, RC4) represent iterative refinements: tighter lock-up tolerances, reduced point-of-impact shift, and optimized fast-attach reliability under field conditions.
The SureFire SOCOM GEN2 RC2 7.62 in Dark Earth is SureFire’s second-generation .308 SOCOM suppressor with RC2 fast-attach. The GEN2 remains an excellent, combat-proven .308 suppressor with Stellite blast baffle construction and SOCOM build standards. For shooters who already have RC2 muzzle devices, this suppressor drops directly onto the existing system. Dark Earth finish.

What RC-series muzzle device do I need?
Each SOCOM RC-series suppressor requires a matching SureFire muzzle device (RC2 = SF 2-prong, RC3 = SF 3-prong, RC4 = SF 4-prong). These are sold separately. Call Western Sport at 817-393-4000 for the correct muzzle device for your barrel thread pitch.
Can I use RC2 muzzle devices with RC3 or RC4 suppressors?
No — RC2, RC3, and RC4 mounting systems are not interchangeable. Each generation requires its matching SureFire muzzle device. If you already have RC2 muzzle devices on your rifles, purchase the GEN2 RC2 suppressors for direct compatibility.
