Product Description

Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

Gemtech NEBULA 5.7x28mm Suppressor 1/2×28 — Black

The Gemtech Nebula 5.7 is Gemtech’s dedicated 5.7x28mm pistol and carbine suppressor — 1/2×28 thread pitch, the standard for FN Five-seveN pistols, FN PS90 carbines, and other 5.7x28mm hosts. The 5.7x28mm cartridge is small-bore, high-velocity, and inherently subsonic-capable in specialty loads — the Nebula is purpose-optimized for this unique caliber’s bore diameter and pressure characteristics.

Compatible Hosts FN Five-seveN, FN PS90 and compatible 5.7x28mm hosts

5.7x28mm Suppressor Notes

The 5.7x28mm is a small, high-velocity centerfire pistol/PDW cartridge. Unlike 9mm or .45 ACP, it is not inherently subsonic — the standard SS197SR and SS198LF loads are supersonic. For best hearing-safe results, use subsonic 5.7x28mm loads rated below 1,125 fps. The Nebula is bored for the 5.7mm diameter and not intended for larger caliber use.

Gemtech: One of America’s Original Suppressor Makers

Gemtech (Gem-Tech) was founded in Boise, Idaho in 1992, making it one of the longest-running suppressor manufacturers in the United States. Gemtech built its reputation on durable, full-auto rated designs for military and law enforcement before expanding to the commercial market. The Abyss, Neutron, Lunar, Tracker, Trek, Nebula, and GM-22 represent Gemtech’s current civilian lineup — covering rifle, pistol, and rimfire calibers.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
