What is an SBS?
An SBS (Short Barreled Shotgun) is any shotgun with a barrel shorter than 18″ or an overall length under 26″. Like SBRs and suppressors, SBS are NFA items requiring Form 4, background check, and tax stamp — now $0 under OBBBA. The PTR Jack’s 7.5″ barrel places it firmly in NFA SBS territory, making it one of the most compact 12-gauge packages available.
